Two of our girls now on the website share a life that offers specific hardship and concern.  Both are being raised by mothers who are prostituting themselves.

Paroma’s mother and father are alcoholics, both described as ”alive, drunk and hopeless”.  The couple is separated.

Her mother runs a small liquor shop and always seems drunk. There is no garden for food, though the grandparents help a little when they can.

Paroma is a shy and silent girl, possibly because of what she sees at home, possibly because she receives little attention or love. If she were sponsored and boarding at school, going home only during the academic breaks, her life would be much better.

We fear that Paroma may withdraw more and more over time if she cannot find some escape from the toxic environment in which she now lives. She may leave home too early and end up prostituting herself to survive.

Paroma is currently finishing “Middle”, the second year of nursery school and will go to “TOP” for 2024 before she starts 1st grade.

If she is sponsored and boards at school, the first thing we hope she learns is how to laugh.
