It could happen anywhere. A truck driver falls asleep , perhaps for a moment, and drives off the road. A father dies.
This is what happened to Confidence, her mother, sister and brother. Life was good until then. Now her mother digs in other people’s “gardens”– small vegetable plots where people try to grow a little to feed their families. One earns a pittance.
An uncle is trying to help the family, but this kind of arrangement seldom lasts long.
Right now, Confidence is all smiles, happy to be at school. Our sponsorship coordinator on the ground tell us “she sung for me the first day I saw her”.
Confidence is 6 years old and has just started “Top” class – the last year or nursery school.
Help her keep singing!
